A Day in the Life of an ASMR creator
What does a full day of making ASMR content look like?
Well, today I’ll share my day with you! (•⩊•)
I’m not a full time creator, so usually I do most of my recording on the weekends. During the week I only ever have a few hours to make content, and I usually end up not getting a lot done, but weekends are peak productivity time. The first thing I do is write my to-do list ✨ For a long time I used different apps and websites to keep track of tasks, but recently I switched to a physical journal. Something about writing things down and crossing out the things I got done with my own hands just feels really satisfying! Most of the time I put more things on my to-do list than I can realistically get done in a day, but I still try!
Today I mainly focused on recording videos and audios for my channel and my patreon. I know that other people usually start by recording, but I always start by making the thumbnails for videos (´ ε ` ) Since the concepts I can do are a little limited by what artworks I have available, I need to first see what I can do! So I spent an hour or two just making thumbnails first. Then I got a little thirsty and decided it was time to take a short break to make green tea and eat my breakfast/lunch/dinner at about 3PM. I always have something to drink ready while I record! Today it was green tea and 0 cal lemon iced tea!
By the time I actually record my first video, it’s already almost 4PM. But that’s not too bad considering that I need to do a decent amount of prep work and also only got up at 12 today! So I spend the next 4 hours recording 3 videos and 4 audios, as well as editing them and scheduling them. By the time I’m done with that, it’s already 8PM - whew! So I don’t have too much time left before my stream. Today I had a lot of bloopers in my video. It’s a bit annoying for me while editing, but the good thing is that I can save them and later edit them into my blooper compilation! (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡
Now my day is almost over! I might record a bit more after my stream but… probably not! So I spent the remaining time before my stream commissioning art for future videos! By now I have several artists that I regularly work with, but I also look for new ones who fit the style I like :3 And then finally, I wrote this article to put on our website! Did I get everything on my to-do list done today? No 😮💨 Could I have done more? Definitely! But I’m happy that I at least got a few tasks in <(￣︶￣)>💗
